I live with my three boys (husband, baby and dog) on a hill not far from the Pacific Ocean. I dabble in free-lance illustration and am an aspiring business-owner. Before that, I proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard for ten years. After the arrival of the cutest-baby-in-the-world (our son) and the simultaneous opportunity for my husband to take a job in San Diego, I left my full-time career to be home with our baby. My Active-Duty time was unforgettable, especially traveling across the oceans and meeting people from all over the world, but my love for art and illustration has never ceased. With the encouragement of some very lovely people, I'm working on opening my very own ETSY shop!
I have some goals beside opening an ETSY shop: learn to surf, visit every continent (Antarctica will be tricky), illustrate a children's book, learn the names of all the trees, volunteer in the community, master the cinnamon roll... That's right, I LOVE cinnamon rolls. I also love Christmas trees and the smell of campfire. Most of all, I love to be outdoors, away from buildings and cars and crowds. Nature is my biggest inspiration. In the wild, I can become invisible, sitting on top a mossy rock until the birds forget I'm there. In the wild, everything is as it should be.
I hope this blog will bring a bit of joy to your life. Stay as long as you'd like. I'd love to hear from you!
